Accrington Stanley play with latest tech!
Mon 31st Jan 2011 | IT & Technology
Accrington Stanley players and staff spent an afternoon with local company Clever Boxes using some of the latest tablet and cloud technology.
Based in Clayton-Le-Moors, Clever Boxes invited down Stanley players and staff to learn about their latest cloud and android technology used in gadgets such as the Apple Ipad and Samsung Galaxy Tab.
Clever Boxes’ invitation to the players was a way of getting involved with Stanley’s ‘Back the Boys’ campaign as Stanley aim to finish this season in a play-off position. Club captain, Andrew Procter with team mates Chris Turner, Alex Cisak and Rory Boulding represented the club on the day, getting hands on with touch screen technology and playing with all of the available applications for the gadgets. Rick Ingham, Marketing Manager of the nationwide IT suppliers demonstrated the cutting edge tech, and showed how Clever Boxes’ brand new Cloud technology can help businesses and get a competitive edge above the rest.
Commercial manager Martin Edmundson commented, “The club would like to thank Clever Boxes for inviting us down to their set up. It’s always fantastic to see our commercial partners and sponsors in their element, especially when it is on the forefront of technology! We were all excited to see where the technology industry is heading and we are now all saving up for an apple Ipad!”
Having already purchased several perimeter boards at the Crown Ground this season, Clever Boxes have grown significantly over recent times, dispatching the latest IT equipment to companies throughout the UK. Their most recent Cloud Technology allows you to securely store your documents, movies and music and still access them from any computer, laptop, tablet or Ipad.
