Championship side Doncaster Rovers Football Club has announced that they have signed a deal with UK snooker and pool operator Riley's.
The deal sees the UK's biggest snooker and pool company enter its first ever partnership with a soccer club. It will have significant influence and exposure in and around the club. The deal includes promotion of special offers in Doncaster Rovers' official club shop, restaurant, lounges, concourse and outside areas. Also part of the deal is Riley's involvement in the club's annual open day. Players and club officials will take part in marketing deals.
Rovers' supporters will be able to enjoy top quality facilities and services at Riley's in Silver Street including viewing games in 3D and HD.
Club manager Darren Mountain said: "All the staff here at Rileys Silver Street are looking forward to serving Donny fans for the rest of what we hope will be a great season. We will be offering supporters, players and staff from the club some special discounts as time passes."
Riley's chief executive Maurice Kelly said: "We are delighted to sign this official sports bar partner agreement with Doncaster Rovers FC. It is the first deal of its kind that we have with a football club. We have witnessed Doncaster Rovers making great strides in recent years, and the outstanding facilities at the Keepmoat Stadium are testament to its success.
"At Rileys, we are re-developing and improving the facilities at our clubs across the country. We are sure the Silver Street club will provide an outstanding home-from-home venue for Rovers' fans and their families."
Doncaster currently compete in the Championship, the second tier of English soccer. The team finished 12th in the 2009/2010 season.
