Tue 3rd Aug 2010 | Football Sponsorship
Evo-Stik League AFC Fylde is literally milking their recent success with a major sponsorship deal. Fylde Dairies Limited, one of the North West leading dairy firms are the new shirt sponsors of AFC Fylde.
Fylde Dairies, who are based on Roman Way in Preston, have signed a club record five figure deal for two years which will see their name on the home and away shirts.
Howey Hegarty, Managing Director of Fylde Dairies said: “We are immensely proud to be sponsoring AFC Fylde. They are the local club for most of our farmers and we are very happy to be supporting a team from the local community. We are very impressed with the plans they have to take this club forward. We would hope that between us we can really create further awareness of the club’s fantastic achievements recently and make AFC Fylde the community club of the future”.
David Haythornthwaite Club President is delighted with the move “The Fylde is renowned for having some of the best dairy herds in the country, so this is a fantastic partnership for both of us. Howey has a clear vision of where he wants to take his company just as we know where we want to take our football club. Working together in the local community will further help build both brands. ”
AFC Fylde who now play in The Evostik First Division North, the fourth step of the football pyramid, have come a long way in the last three seasons winning successive promotions and the FA Vase in 2008. They play at Kellamergh Park, Warton and this season building a squad to mount a promotion push to the Evostik Premier Division when the new season kicks off in August which is just three divisions away from the football league.
Martin Booker, Business Development Manager, AFC Fylde said: “This is a fantastic deal for both parties. The opportunity to develop a long term partnership with a growing business on the Fylde Coast is one which we are looking forward to. There is a lot of synergy we share in terms of success and development of our brands and this sponsorship deal, a club record, is also a great boost for the club’s finances. ”.
The club is also set to benefit from the association with the firm adding their logo to all their vehicles to promote the club’s association with the company as well as a number of community initiatives and promotions planned across the Fylde Coast.
