Joining an illustrious group of supporters, F.C. Business will help to raise awareness of the Homeless World Cup and football beating homelessness.
The Homeless World Cup is an annual world class, international football tournament inspiring 64 national grass roots football projects and over 30,000 homeless players to change their lives: over 70% change for the better. The 8th Rio 2010 Homeless World Cup takes place from 19 – 26 September 2010 at Copacabana Beach, Rio, Brazil.
Ryan McKnight, Editor, said: “This is a great opportunity to create a lasting legacy using football and we are proud to support such a worthy cause and one which reflects the true social value of football”.
Mel Young, President Homeless World Cup said in preparation for the Rio 2010 Homeless world Cup: "Brazil and the City of Rio have the courage to take positive steps to address poverty and serious social issues with football, a sport in which they lead the world.
“The Homeless World cup is an opportunity for homeless people to move from the invisible margins to the centre of Rio, stand proud on a global stage, true ambassadors for their country, and change their lives. A ball can change the world.”
To help support the Homeless World Cup, we have set up our own just giving page where our readers can make a donation to directly support the Homeless World Cup. Go to www.justgiving.com/FC-Business”
