Northampton Town join local businesses for unique partnership
Wed 30th Nov 2011 | Football Sponsorship
Businesses on Brackmills industrial estate have joined forces and signed up to become a community partner of Northampton Town Football Club.
The football club and industrial estate will now work together to promote and support each other's activities.
Chairman of the Brackmills BID Executive board, John Corrigan, explained: "We are delighted to be working with the Cobblers and are very impressed by the club's commitment to young people and the wider community, a commitment that we share.
"As a group of businesses Brackmills is passionate about nurturing a strong sense of community. We support each other on a daily basis and are committed to re-establishing Brackmills as the premier business and logistics park in the UK. By teaming up with the Cobblers we are confident we will be able to develop lots of mutually beneficial opportunities which will support young people, create apprenticeship opportunities and promote our estate to a national audience. We are delighted and proud to be supporting our local football club, which is at the heart of the town's community."
Chairman of Northampton Town Football Club, David Cardoza, added: "We are delighted to be forging this partnership with Brackmills, an estate which shares our commitment to the wider community. We look forward to welcoming lots of Brackmills employees to our games and to building our links further with the business community of Brackmills. We have a proud reputation for the support and service we offer our partners, and I am delighted that such a well respected and high profile group of companies have chosen to support us."
Brackmills Industrial Estate became a Business Improvement District (BID) two and a half years ago, an initiative which sees resident businesses pooling resources into a collective pot and using this to fund a host of positive changes across the estate.
Brackmills Industrial Estate is pledging a commitment to supporting young people and generating employment opportunities and, as well as becoming a Cobblers partner, the estate now employs its very own Apprentice Ranger.
