Visa and McDonalds to Support Soccerex

Soccerex are thrilled to announce that Visa, official FIFA partner and McDonalds, official 2014 FIFA World Cup™ sponsor have been confirmed as official supporters of the Soccerex Football Festival, part of the Soccerex Global Convention, 26 – 30 November, Rio de Janeiro.

A purpose built arena on the world famous Copacabana Beach, the Soccerex Football Festival will play host to an amazing football line-up, bringing together some of the most talented upcoming stars and former Legends of the beautiful game. Highlights include the Rio Government youth tournament, an exclusive LIVE goal keeping academy showcase from Brazilian World Cup winner,  Zetti, a Crossbar Challenge competition, a Paralympics 5-a-side match and the world famous Soccerex Legends tournament.

“To have these two huge global brands support this year’s Football Festival is incredible – their involvement is invaluable to the tournament, adding huge gravitas and value to those who come along to watch”, commented Alistair Mawas, Football Festival Manager, Soccerex.

Visa will also sponsor the social evening on Tuesday 29th -‘Re: View@ Clube dos Marimbas’. The evening will take place in the private members club directly opposite the official event hotel, the Sofitel. Drinks and canapés will be served while delegates enjoy the spectacular view of Copacabana Beach and ‘’ look back on their experiences at the Soccerex Global Convention so far.

The Soccerex Football Festival will feature the likes of Gaizka Mendieta, Juliano Belletti, Marcel Desailly, Djalminha, Juninho Paulista, Carlos Valderrama, Faustino Asprilla, Armelino Donizete Quagliato, Aldair, Pierre van Hooijdonk, Aron Winter, Ruud Gullit, Rob Witschge, Arthur Numan, Guido Albers, Richard Witschge, Vitor Baia, Christian Karembeu, Dimas Teixeira, José María Buljubasich, Nelson Vivas, Andrés Guglielminpietro and Marcelo Salas. As well as the legends playing at the festival, the convention itself will see stars of past and present such as Neymar, Eusebio, Ossie Ardiles, Carlos Alberto Torres, Bryan Robson and many more!

The two-day Football Festival marks the start of the Global Convention  which will consist of an in-depth conference schedule, a packed exhibition and a large range of networking events, all  taking place in the Forte de Copacabana and on the iconic Copacabana beach in Rio de Janeiro.
