Midlands Clubs and Legends Work Together for Grass Roots Football

The biggest football clubs in the Midlands will be working together this summer to help promote grass roots football.
Aston Villa, Birmingham City, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Coventry, Walsall and Derby County and have all confirmed their attendance at the brmb Grass Roots Football Show which takes place at the NEC from the 3-5 June.
Legendary former players from the Midland’s clubs will be battling it out for the coveted brmb Grass Roots Football Show Trophy in the main arena.
The clubs’ Under 11 teams will also be showcasing their skills in a mini tournament and the clubs’ Community departments will be running coaching master classes throughout the three days of wall to wall football.
A spokesperson for the working group said; “The development of grass roots football is vitally important and we are delighted to be teaming up with all of the other major clubs in the Midlands at the brmb Grass Roots Football Show.
“Our community departments will be delivering coaching sessions and help promote best practise and I know the Legends are still as competitive as when they were playing professionally and will want to bring the trophy back home.”
Joanna Burns, Director of Grass Roots Football, said; “We are delighted to have the biggest clubs in the Midlands at this year’s event.
“They are on the ground in amongst grass roots football 365 days a year but this is the first time that they will all be under one roof working together.
“The Under 11’s tournament will highlight the great work that the clubs are doing out in the community and the Legends are always a huge draw for the crowds.
“Midlands’ football fans will get to see their heroes in action again as well as get the chance to get an autograph and have their pictures taken with them.”
The brmb Grass Roots Football Show 2011 is the biggest football event of its kind in Europe and takes place at the NEC in Birmingham between the 3rd and 5th of June.
With more skills, more coaching sessions, more tactics, more interaction and more of the biggest stars in the game including Robbie Savage, Graham Taylor, Chris Coleman, Chris Hughton, Iain Dowie, Dion Dublin, Peter Taylor and Tosh Farrell - the brmb Grass Roots Football Show is this year’s must attend football event.
