Sheffield United CEO steps down
Wed 11th May 2011 | Football Club Management
Trevor Birch has stepped down as chief executive of Sheffield United, but will stay on as a consultant in the short-term.
The move follows hot on the heels of the club's relegation from the Championship and the departure of manager Micky Adams and his No 2 Alan Cork.
Birch will assist the Blades ahead of the League One campaign in the transfer market, as well as the reorganisation and reshaping of the club.
Chairman Kevin McCabe said: "Trevor's considerable contacts and experience will help us as we reshape the football club and focus on our transfer dealings."
