Co-op extend Colwyn Bay sponsorship
Tue 7th Dec 2010 | Football Sponsorship
Colwyn Bay Football Club have announced that they have extended their main sponsorship agreement with Co-operative Food Retail.
Colwyn Bay Football Club Managing Director Darren Cartwright has revealed that the deal has been extended for a further two seasons: “We are delighted to have secured a further extension to the current agreement. The new deal is worth a substantial five-figure sum which has increased in value on the existing agreement and now covers the 2011/12 & 2012/13 seasons.”
“The deal gives us much more certainty in our financial planning, moving forward and is a huge vote of confidence in what we have, and are trying to achieve at the club.”
“We are very grateful for the Co-operative’s backing and for the personal support from their Directors, David Messom and Mark Owen, who are both avid Colwyn Bay supporters”
Co-operative Trading Director David Messom added: “The continued progress of the club, with promotion on the field and their increasing involvement with the local community, has given us the confidence to continue our support for a further two years beyond this season.”
The deal covers shirt sponsorship, man of the match awards, support of fundraising initiatives and sponsorship of entry for children, students and members of the armed forces for a selected game in each season.
The new deal now takes the association with Co-operative Food Retail up to four years.
To commemorate the agreement Co-operative Directors David Messom and Mark Owen were presented with a memento of last season’s promotion success, a signed shirt from the players, from the clubs Managing Director Darren Cartwright and Club Chairman Geoff Cartwright.
