“Previously I have applauded the contribution of our main sponsors and commercial partners. It goes without saying then that once again I wish to place on record my appreciation to those organisations, in these difficult financial times, who have continued to support the Club.”
Further praise was reserved for the Walsall F.C. On many occasions over the years I am aware that he had numerous opportunities to move on to more lucrative positions at other Clubs but on each occasion his love for the Club he has supported since childhood kept him here.
“I have no doubt that he could have gone on to be a very successful Chief Executive at Premiership level. In years to come when the present day forms part of the proud history of Walsall Football Club, Roy’s contribution will always be a remembered as a lasting legacy of his loyalty, commitment and hard work.”
