Falkirk FC's ground breaking Academy sponsorship deal.

Falkirk Football Club have secured a ground breaking long-term sponsorship deal to bring the supporters closer to the club.
The top rated Academy will now be sponsored by the Club’s own fans with BairnsTrust supporters group taking the lead in co-ordinating fundraising activity.
The arrangement is the first of its kind in British football as the supporters show their faith in the future of Falkirk FC.
Head of Commercial Affairs Gary Dowson welcomed the deal, saying “Everyone at Falkirk FC is delighted to have secured a sponsorship of this kind with our supporters. This partnership underlines the value of supporters by sponsoring their very own Academy. Their ‘fan-tastic’ backing will provide the Club’s Academy with the much needed financial support to maintain the youth structure of the club for years to come.”
BairnsTrust Chairman Tom Paterson added, “We are pleased to provide financial support to the Academy as this is an investment for the future. With one of the best, if not the best, set-ups in Scotland, it is vital that this is sustained and that we can continue to produce the stars of tomorrow.”
The Bairns Trust will lead a number of fund raising initiatives that will give all Falkirk fans the opportunity to contribute to the sponsorship of the academy.
On Friday the 29th October the sponsorship will be launched formally when Scotland play Wales in The Victory Shield at the Falkirk Stadium. Falkirk FC is very proud to have three academy players in the Scotland squad for this game which will be shown live on Sky Sports.
