Levy makes Champions League financial warning

Tottenham Hotspur Football Club chairman Daniel Levy has warned fans that reaching the Champions League isn’t as potentially lucrative as was first thought.
£30m was touted as the windfall Tottenham would receive for reaching the group stage but Levy believes it is more likely to be half that amount.
“We will make £15m from being in the group stage. You could buy one good striker [for that]. It's not a goldmine,” he told The Independent.
The Tottenham chairman is under no illusions about how difficult it will be to stay in the Champions League; "We all want to stay in the Champions League but let's be realistic, there are only four places but there are seven or eight teams competing."
