Viva England by Pint Shot Riot
Viva England by Pint Shot Riot is announced as the official song for Team England as they prepare for the 8th Rio 2010 Homeless World Cup, which takes place 19 – 26 September 2010, Copacabana Beach, Rio, Brazil.
You can support Team England by downloading Viva England here: http://itunes.apple.com/gb/album/viva-england/id375456847. Proceeds from the track go to the Homeless World Cup, beating homelessness through football.
Rocket, the lead singer of Pint Shot Riot has this to say about VIVA ENGLAND and the Homeless World Cup. "Being involved in anything that can better somebody's life is an honour. The amount of people homeless all over the world is astonishing, so it's a beautiful thing to know that football is changing this, and we are part of it."
Richard Brown, Manager, Team England Homeless World Cup, said: ”It is a big deal for the boys from the England Team to have an official song for the Rio 2010 Homeless World Cup. They are proud to make it to their national team, to represent England and would love the country, the fans, to get behind them by downloading the song and cheering the boys on.”
The Homeless World Cup is a world class, annual, international football tournament inspiring 64 national grass roots football projects and over 30,000 homeless players to change their lives: over 70% change for the better. Supporters include UEFA, United Nations, Nike, Ambassador Eric Cantona and international footballers Didier Drogba and Rio Ferdinand.
