Stoke boss concern over rising player wages

Tony Pulis the Stoke City Football Club boss has expressed his concern at the spiraling wage bill in the Premier League
Speaking to BBC radio Stoke, Pulis described the figures that some Premier League clubs are spending on wages as "ridiculous".
"Good luck to the players if people want to pay them that much money, The industry has become a glamour industry and the sums, if they're true, are absolutely ridiculous in my mind."
His remarks come as Manchester City continue be the highest-spending Premier League club of the summer so far. Reports claim that City’s new signing, Ivory Coast midfielder Yaya Toure is earning around £200,000 per week.
Tired of Stoke being linked with potential transfer targets and will wait before adding any more new players admitted Pulis.
"We've been linked with 138 people and we'll see what happens," said Pulis. "I'm just very pleased that no one's linked us with the players that we're looking for.
"The best deals will be done at the back end of it [the transfer window] and we may have to wait until then to get the deals that we want."
