Perform, Football Manager and Mitre join the list of prestigious sponsors at the Football League Awards 2012
The Football League today announced that it has agreed headline sponsors for three of its key categories for the Football League Awards 2012.
The Perform Group, Football Manager and Mitre will sponsor the Best Marketing Campaign, Outstanding Managerial Achievement and Goal of the Year categories respectively.
Established in 2006, The Football League Awards celebrates excellence both on and off the pitch. The event attracts players, managers and staff from League clubs as well as sponsors, partners and those wishing to celebrate everything Football League.
The event on Sunday 11 March at the Brewery, London is the first major football awards of the season, with categories judged by panels of experts from the industry and media.
Technology specialists, Perform, will continue their support of the Awards by looking at some of the outstanding marketing strategies implicated by Football League clubs over the last year.
The Official Ball Supplier to The Football League, Mitre, will sponsor the Goal of the Year award for the sixth consecutive year. Expected to be hotly contested, the Mitre Goal of the Year Award will be judged on Sky TV’s Soccer AM for the fourth year running.
Football Manager has come on board to sponsor a new award for 2012, recognising the Outstanding Managerial Achievement from the last 12 months.
David Malkinson, Head of Marketing for The Football League said: “It is fantastic to be working with Perform, Football Manager and Mitre again for the 2012 Awards.
“The Awards allow us to recognise the great work going on at all 72 Football League clubs and the continued support year-after-year of our partners is essential in making the event such a success.”
