Corby Town reveal new away shirt sponsor

Fri 23rd Sep 2011 | Football Sponsorship

Corby Town have announced that Echo Personnel Limited were the successful bidders in the club's popular Silent Auction.

The two-week private auction came to an end last week and the club have concluded a sponsorship deal with a growing company that has an office in Corby.

Echo Personnel are a leading recruitment agency who have six offices across Northamptonshire, Hertfordshire and Birmingham was one of several businesses that registered interest in the opportunity to sponsor the maroon away shirts of the Steelmen.

Corby Town's Acting Chairman David Mallinger said: “We are delighted to have an evolving company like Echo on board as our new away shirt sponsors. We are already fortunate to have a strong relationship with Tata Steel, who sponsor our home shirts, and since the move to Steel Park, Echo too have been very supportive of the club through a variety of sponsorship deals. It's fantastic they've liked what they've seen to develop into our away shirt sponsors in such a relatively early stage in our relationship.

“We have already begun discussions about how we can further develop the partnership to provide a significant return on their investment. As a business they share similar goals to the club in terms of their ambition and desire to evolve so we're looking forward to working together and being part of each other's respective success in the future.

“The auction proved to be a great success and we're grateful to the other companies who also registered a bid for their support; despite not winning the auction they have all pledged to take some form of sponsorship with the club from advertising boards to match sponsorship packages. It's great to see so many local companies getting behind the club in this way.”

Richard Ellingworth, Managing Director of Echo Personnel, commented: “We are very pleased to have won the auction and we're excited at the prospect of working with Corby Town. As a company we have always looked to support local talent and we have been impressed by the new stadium, the new board and their ambitions but most importantly, their determination to do things properly.

“We back a variety of sports teams and individuals in the area and we are looking forward to benefiting from the association that comes with being involved with a football club that is heading in the right direction.”
