Bristol Academy's Women play UEFA Russian Roulette
Wed 14th Sep 2011 | Money & Finance
Filton College’s BAWFC launches Russian roulette lottery scheme to help fund their Russian UEFA adventure.
Filton College's Bristol Academy Women's Football Club will be holding a Russian Roulette Prize Draw ahead of their UEFA Women's Champions League game vs FC Energia Voronezh which is being staged at Bristol City Football Club's Ashton Gate Stadium on Thursday 29th September.
Simon Arnold Club Chairman comments, "The Vixen's players are making financial sacrifices and contributing towards their travel costs during the competition to allow the full squad to travel to Voronezh for the second leg of this round. It's very different to the men's game in the same competition where money is no object. All funds which are raised from the prize draw will help contribute towards the costs of travelling to Russia".
Sara-Jane Watkins, Club Commercial Director comments, “There will be 10 prizes up for grabs in the prize draw which will be drawn at half time at Ashton Gate in the first leg against FC Energia Voronezh. There are only 40 tickets available to buy. The cost of one ticket will be priced at £500 or you can buy two at the price of £900.
“The first prize will be naming rights to the Vixen's home ground - the Stoke Gifford Stadium, based at Filton College's WISE Campus, for one season which is worth £10,000 and will run from 1st October 2011 - 30th September 2012.
“The second prize will be shirt sponsorship. You could get the chance to have your business logo above the name and number of the player on the back of the shirt which is valued at £5,000.
"The third prize is naming rights to the main stand at the stadium for a season which has a value of £3,000.
"The seven additional prizes will include match sponsorships for the FA WSL 2012 season which includes 5 VIP tickets to their own sponsored game”.
Individuals and businesses interested in buying a ticket for the prize draw, can call Sara-Jane Watkins on 0792 049 2059. All businesses who purchase a ticket will be invited as our guest to the Voronezh home game which is being played at Ashton Gate on Thursday 29th September where they will get to watch the live draw. In addition, each ticket holder will receive 10 FA WSL 2012 season tickets and a free FAWSL website link to their website and in all our home match programmes.
