Soccerex Creates Global Club Community
Tue 12th Jul 2011 | Football Industry Events
Networking with football clubs has been made easier at this year’s Soccerex Global Convention (26-30 November, Rio de Janeiro) with the announcement there will be an exclusive area designated to football clubs from around the world within the exhibition hall at this year’s event.
A large number of leading clubs have already confirmed their participation at the 2011 event including Flamengo, Botafogo (Brazil), Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa), Boca Juniors and Racing Club (Argentina) who will all be exhibiting. The global mix will be further extended by the attendance of clubs like FC Barcelona (Spain), Inter Milan, AC Milan (Italy), Liga Alajuelense (Costa Rica), Pachuca, Monarcas Morelia, Neza, , Jaguares de Chiapa (Mexico), Cerro Portenò (Paraguay) and LFBB (Bolivia).
‘The decision to have a designated club area, hosting established and emerging clubs from around the world reflects our commitment to providing the ultimate networking platform for the football industry’ explains Duncan Revie, Soccerex CEO. ‘The move to consolidate clubs in to one place means that delegates can easily locate contacts they wish to meet and at the same time network with a host of new prospects; it also creates a community where clubs can network amongst themselves, foster relationships and learn from each other’s experiences.’
In addition to designated club area, Soccerex will also be hosting an exclusive club-only workshop which will explore how clubs can maximise revenue streams, encourage networking with leading brands from around the world and discuss key issues affecting the industry.
The exhibition and workshop are just two features of the Soccerex Global Convention 2011 which also consists of an in-depth conference schedule, a large range of networking functions and a two-day Football Festival all taking place in the host city to the 2014 FIFA World Cup Final and 2016 Olympic Games, Rio de Janeiro.
