Chester City suspended by the Conference for seven days

Chester have been suspended from the Conference Premier for seven days after being unable to fulfill fixtures against Forest Green and Wrexham.
The players did not arrive for Tuesday's match at Forest Green due to a dispute over money being paid.
Sunday's scheduled clash with Wrexham has also been called off after it emerged police had not been paid for previous games.
The Conference are now demanding answers from the club and will not allow them to play next Wednesday's match against Kidderminster.
"The football club have to represent themselves next Thursday at the headquarters of the Conference," Chester managing director Bob Gray told Sky Sports News.
"They want the questions answered as regards the unfulfilled fixtures and that is what we will endeavour to do."
The suspension will at least give Chester time to try to secure fresh investment and Gray is hopeful the club will survive.
"It is good news for the fans," he said. "They still have a football club and there still are investors out there that are interested in maybe taking over.
"It is not all doom and gloom. We have to fight hard to keep this club going.
"What we'd like is that if the investors come through in the next seven days then the fans can support the football club as well. It is not everyone's idea to boycott.
"We will fight hammer and tong with the Conference and hopefully continue to play football at this club."
The club which has serious debt problems with outstanding liabilities totaling more than £200,000 are up for sale and is understood to be looking for investment.
