UEFA to speak on financial fair play

Soccerex are delighted to confirm that Andrea Traverso, Head of Club Licensing, UEFA and the man responsible for the implementation of UEFA’s financial fair play rules, is confirmed to speak at the European Forum 2011.
He will be giving an exclusive presentation on the financial fair play concept before joining a panel to discuss the rules, how they will be implemented and the effects they will have on the many and varied stakeholders in the industry.
Andrea, who has been leading the development of UEFA’s financial fair play rulings, commented that “The new UEFA Financial Fair play requirements will be key in promoting more rationality and discipline in club football finances across Europe – Soccerex will allow us to engage with the clubs in one place; to inform them about the regulations and look at how we can work together to ensure that they are met. I am delighted to be part of the event.”
The session will be moderated by Dan Jones, Partner, Head of Sport Business Group, Deloitte, who also leads the firm’s Global Centre of Excellence for Major Events and has spent most of his career with Deloitte, including four years in corporate finance working on valuations, business plans and capital raising. Dan now works solely on sports related projects and will be leveraging his extensive experience of sports client management at the discussion.
The session is part of a two-day event which returns to Manchester for a second year, 30-31 March 2011 at the Manchester Central, and will see the elite of Europe’s football industry come together for two days of debate, networking and socialising.
