Zico, Torres, Cafu and Parreira confirmed for Soccerex

Soccerex are delighted to announce that a special panel of Brazilian legends has been confirmed for the Soccerex Global Convention (20-24 November 2010), Rio de Janeiro. The panel, titled ‘The Brazilian Way’ will be looking at the huge impact of Brazilian players and managers on global football, discussing Brazilian footballing philosophies and their approach to the beautiful game.

The panel includes World Cup winning manager Carlos Alberto Parreira who coached the Brazilian team to victory in 1994 and has taken five international sides to the World Cup Finals including South Africa in 2010.

He will be joined by Zico, icon of the legendary 1982 Brazilian World Cup team. The ‘White Pele’ who made over 200 appearances for Flamengo and 72 for Brazil has also had a glittering coaching career with the likes of clubs such as Fenerbahçe, CSKA Moskow and Olympiacos.

The panel will also include the World Cup winning Captain and world renowned defender, named by Pele as one of the greatest living footballers in the World, with 445 Santos appearances and 53 Brazilian caps, scorer of arguably the greatest ever team goal in World Cup history, Carlos Alberto Torres.

The final member of this star studded session is the most capped Brazilian player of all time with 143 appearances including 21 in the World Cup finals, the twice World Cup winner and Captain of the 2002 winning team, Cafu.

The panel is part of a wide ranging conference schedule covering subjects from the commercial lifecycle of South American talent and Brazil’s fan revolution to the next generation of football media, hosting the FIFA World Cup, global domestic leagues and much more.

As well as this in-depth conference schedule the Soccerex Global Convention (20-24 November 2010) will consist of a packed exhibition, a large range of networking and two-day Football Festival all taking place in the Forte de Copacabana, Copacabana beach and Sugar Loaf Mountain, Rio de Janeiro.
