Wed 15th Sep 2010 | Clubs Ownership
Blue Square Bet Premier club Altrincham have announced that chairman Geoff Goodwin has stepped down.
A statement from the club reads: "It is with deep regret that we have to announce that Geoff Goodwin has stepped down as chairman from the Football Club as well as from the Board of Directors due to mounting pressures at work and his involvement with his son's karting.
“We would like to offer our sincere thanks for everything that Geoff, and his wife Suzanne, have done for this Football Club over the last eight years of his leadership. Geoff has agreed to continue his sponsorship of the Football Club until at least the end of the current season.
“Grahame Rowley will act as chairman until the next Board meeting, scheduled for Wednesday, 22nd September when the position will be discussed."
