Premier League looks for Social Media Partner
Tue 31st Aug 2010 | IT & Technology
The Premier League is on the look-out for a digital agency to manage its social media presence as a way of increasing its interaction with fans according to campaignlive.co.uk. There is currently the popular Fantasy Premier League game hosted with sponsor Barclays and the hope is to build a social media campaign that will strengthen both the sponsor relationship and the fans’ interactivity. The League has contacted likely candidates and invited a pitch from them and there is also a search on for an agency to build its web projects.
The FIFA 2018 World Cup bid inspectors are to visit England this week and the Premier League is announcing figures that establish that in England football is a family-oriented sport followed by an ethnically diverse audience. The multi-cultural appeal across various age groups is one of the key points of the English bid to host the 2018 World Cup.
