Arsenal and NFL Leaders discuss brand globalisation

Mark Waller, Chief Marketing Officer of the NFL and Tom Fox, Chief Commercial Officer, Arsenal FC, have joined the growing list of speakers at the Leaders in Sponsorship event being hosted at Chelsea FC, London on 6th October 2010.
Sharing their expertise in the session “From thinking global to going global: From demand to reality”, Waller and Fox will discuss the different strategies used at the NFL and Arsenal FC to help globalise their brands. Bigger sponsors, better fan engagement and new commercial opportunities are the rewards of globalising ones brand and this session will be a master class in marketing and commercial best practice and a must attend for brands in sport.
Tom Fox is the first ever Chief Commercial Officer of Arsenal, having built an extensive résumé in the sports-marketing industry. Starting out within the sports marketing department at Gatorade, Fox moved on to become Director of Sponsor Programs for NBA Properties, before moving to Hong Kong to become Vice President and Managing Director of NBA Asia. Spells at Nike and a return to Gatorade as the Senior Vice President followed, before joining Arsenal in late 2009.
Waller is the first ever Chief Marketing Officer in NFL history, having joined in 2006 as the International Senior Vice President where his role included overseeing the growth of the NFL’s International Series, then Sales and Marketing. As CMO, Waller continues to oversee the international business and will also be responsible for creating an integrated marketing function that operates across all NFL platforms and properties, including NFL Ventures, NFL Network and NFL.com.
