Nike agrees Doncaster kit deal
Thu 24th Jun 2010 | Football Sponsorship
Nike has signed a deal to become the official kit supplier of Doncaster Rovers.
The sportswear giant has agreed a three-year contract with the Championship team.
Doncaster chief executive Dave Morris said: "The decision in choosing a new kit supplier has taken time and we had many offers on the table from several suppliers, including a deal with our existing manufacturer. [But] right from the start of the tender process, Nike stood out from the other deals.
"It was important, however, to find the right deal for the club and the fans, and not to be swayed simply by brand power. After a series of meetings over recent weeks, Nike demonstrated that they had the passion, desire and commitment to work with Doncaster Rovers and we are delighted to be able to associate the club with such a powerful brand.
“To be able to attract a company like Nike to Doncaster Rovers shows how far the club have come in recent years and highlights our status as an established Championship club."
