Huddersfield Town FC raise £251,514 for ‘Keep it Up’

Tue 9th Aug 2011 | Money & Finance

We are pleased to announce that a staggering £251,514 has been raised for the 'Keep It Up' campaign in the 2010/11 season, taking the total combined amount across the first two years of the campaign to £371,683!

This amazing total wouldn't have been possible without the fantastic support from the 'Knights of Yorkshire', the 'Pedal for Pounds 2' cyclists and anyone who has donated to 'Keep It Up' throughout the season.

Town's Commercial Director Sean Jarvis commented "For 'Keep it Up' to have raised over a quarter of a million pounds this year alone is a testament to the character and generous nature of our fans.

"On behalf of the Club, I'd like to say a huge 'thank you' to anyone who has supported the campaign, be it by sponsoring a cyclist, recycling their clothes in a KIU bank or by displaying a white rose on their car- it has all contributed to this phenomenal total."

Sean is pictured here along with Yorkshire Air Ambulance's chairman Peter Sunderland, Richard Allen and Vicki Davenport of the Pink Link Ltd who sponsored the 'Pedal for Pounds 2' bike ride, and two of Town's Academy players.

The money raised will go towards equipment, coaching costs and running fees for Town's Academy, and towards the maintenance and running costs of YAA's two life-saving helicopters.

This season, we are hoping to build upon the amount raised for the 'Keep It Up' campaign so far.

There will be loads of different ways of getting involved with the campaign- keep checking htafc.com for updates on how you can play a part in it - there's something for everyone!
