Bernard Manning Jr returns as chairman of Radcliffe Borough

Bernard Manning Jnr has returned as chairman at Radcliffe Borough after recent behind the scenes developments at the Lancashire based football club.
The owner’s return is hopefully the start of a new era at the football club which Manning hopes will see the club develop further as a community based football club and restore their ambitions on the playing side.
Manning will also be appointing new directors to the board in time for the new 2011-2012 season. All the new changes will take place at the end of the clubs financial year.
On the pitch Manning was hoping the team will produce enough results to ensure their safety in the Evo-Stik league. The club have now exited all the cups on offer, disappointingly going out of three in a week and poor league results have seen them drop dangerously towards the relegation places, just seven points off being in the bottom two.
The club announced they have now appointed Benny Phillips as caretaker manager until the end of the season after previous manager Gerry Luczka left the club.
Borough hope the appointment of Benny Phillips, will help galvanise the playing side, secure the players that were set to leave and add one or two more players to help produce the results needed to get out of the trouble the club currently find themselves in.
