RANGERS LAUNCH NIGHTLY ‘BLUES NEWS’ SHOW

Fri 8th Jan 2010 | Television & Broadcasting

Rangers Football Club has launched Blues News – an early evening, daily magazine programme featuring exclusive interviews with Walter Smith and his Double-winning stars, studio guests plus all the latest news from Ibrox and Murray Park.

Blues News will appear Monday to Friday on the Club’s pioneering online TV station RangersTV.tv and rangers.co.uk’s online content zone Rangers World and will be presented by Emma Dodds and Rangers Media Editor in Chief Lindsay Herron.

RangersTV.tv - the first dedicated online TV station created by a UK football club - was launched last October and Blues News will feature on the Inside Ibrox channel - one of six channels that offer supporters access to the Club’s extensive archive library of classic SPL, European and Old Firm action and more channels are planned later this month.

UK supporters can access full games on-demand as well as a library of Rangers most recent matches while fans outside the UK can subscribe to the RangersTV.tv live match service and enjoy the Club’s own pre match build-up, half time and post-match analysis.

Rangers winger DaMarcus Beasley, who joined presenter Emma Dodds at today’s launch, commented: “My family and friends in America keep in touch with my progress at the Club on RangersTV.tv, Rangers World and rangers.co.uk and they are fantastic services. The online station has been a big hit with supporters worldwide and I am sure they will enjoy Blues News Monday to Friday, week in week out as we bid to retain the SPL title.”

Fans can sign up or find out more information on the range of packages by visiting www.rangerstv.tv or www.rangers.co.uk.
