Macesport have been re-appointed to handle public relations services for Grass Roots Football LIVE 2010.
It will be the third successive year that the Nottingham-based sports communications agency will be working on the event – to be held at the NEC, Birmingham over three days from June 4-6.
The event is the premier grass roots football show of its kind in the UK with up to 20,000 coaches, managers, players and volunteers due to attend.
Former England manager Graham Taylor, Alan Curbishley, Steve Coppell, Iain Dowie, Aidy Boothroyd, Ian Holloway and Peter Taylor are among those who will be delivering coaching clinics and workshops during the event.
Macesport managing director Paul Mace said: “Over the past few years we have seen Grass Roots Football LIVE develop into a must-attend event for the football community.
“Every weekend there are an army of hundreds of thousands of parents and volunteers who donate their time at grass roots level.
“This is their opportunity to come together, learn, understand best practice and meet with the professionals in a uniquely educational and entertaining environment.”
Macesport will handle all PR activity, organise specialist media partnerships, manage media at the event and provide specialist football industry insight to the biggest event of its kind in Europe.
Grass Roots Football LIVE 2010 is expected to break all records as football fever sweeps the nation- taking place just days before the FIFA World Cup kicks off in South Africa.
Bob Rosen, managing director of Grass Roots Football LIVE, added; “Macesport have an extensive contact list in the world of football and they are the obvious choice for this event.
“We have enjoyed outstanding media coverage, both regionally and nationally, in the past few years and the profile of the event continues to go from strength to strength.
“This is without doubt the main event for anyone involved in grass roots football and we believe the line-up we have assembled for our 2010 event is our strongest yet.”
Macesport’s client list also includes sports governing bodies as well as leading international sports brands and sporting sponsors.
The company’s individual athlete stable includes Robbie Savage, Stan Collymore, Darren Moore, world top-10 ranked pole vaulter Kate Dennison, Notts and England cricketer Ryan Sidebottom and World young hockey player of the year Ashley Jackson.
