Hull City FC boardroom restructuring continues

Thu 27th May 2010 | Clubs Ownership

Director Martin Walker has stepped down from his non-executive position at Hull City Football Club as they make further changes at boardroom level as part of a continued shake-up of the relegated club according to the BBC.

This follows recent moves to install owner Russell Bartlett as chairman and former chairman Adam Pearson as Head of Football Operations.

Walker will continue in his role as director of the Stadium Management Company (SMC) which manages the lease on the KC Stadium.

Other recent changes have seen the club add insolvency expert Mark Fry to help restructure the club's debt which is in the region of £40m.

The club also remain hopeful of reaching settlement with ex-manager Phil Brown who has been on gardening leave since mid-March but he and the club were unable to agree a suitable pay-off when the parties met two weeks ago.

It is understood the initial offer was in the region of £500k but it is believed the man who led club to the Premier League for the first time in their history is holding out for more.
