Fri 13th Jan 2012 | Football Industry Events
Soccerex are pleased to confirm they will be providing a variety of dedicated club content at this year’s European Forum, 28-29 March, 2012 in Manchester, including an exclusive club lounge, a networking lunch, a dedicated club workshop and tailored conference sessions addressing key issues affecting clubs today.
Every edition of the European Forum has seen all 20 English Premier League clubs in attendance alongside many other top-flight clubs from across Europe such as FC Barcelona, AC Milan, Real Madrid CF, ACF Fiorentina, FC Porto, Hamburger SV, Atletico de Madrid, FC Zenit St Petersburg and S.L. Benfica. Recognising the importance of these clubs and other Rights Holders from across the globe, Soccerex have introduced initiatives to help clubs share knowledge on club business and administration.
The club lounge and networking lunch will provide club delegates with an opportunity to network with other club representatives whilst the club workshop will comprise of a series of presentations looking at different commercial opportunities incorporated in club business including academies, sports technology, pre-season tours, new media, licensing, media rights and sponsorship. The workshop will be complimented by a number of conference sessions in the main studio which will explore key issues affecting clubs including sessions on player development, league structure, club ownership and sponsorship.
‘We ran our first dedicated club workshop in Rio last year and it was a great success! Feedback from Rights Holders confirmed they wanted these opportunities to network with each other in order to share ideas and experiences on best business practice...we have listened and this is what we have done,’ commented Duncan Revie, Soccerex CEO.
Despite having club specific content at this year’s European Forum, the main Soccerex agenda has been designed to benefit all industries that attend. There will be a packed exhibition showcasing the latest industry products and services benefitting clubs as well as the raft of other industries that attend. There will also be a host of informal and formal networking opportunities and a comprehensive conference line-up which in addition to the topics mentioned above will also address key areas such as betting, football and the media, and management in football.
