EPFL to Host Annual Assembly and Workshop at the Soccerex

Soccerex are pleased to announce that the European Professional Football Leagues, (EPFL) will be hosting their annual General Assembly and a dedicated EPFL workshop at this year’s Soccerex European Forum, 28-29th March, 2012.
Founded in 2005, the EPFL acts as the common voice for Professional Football Leagues in Europe on all matters of common interest. The EPFL General Assembly will take place on the afternoon of the 27th March, the day before the European Forum starts.
The EPFL is comprised of 30 Member Leagues and Associate members across Europe including all of the top European Leagues such as the English Premier League, Lega Seria A, the Scottish Premier League, the Russian Football Premier League, La Liga, the DFL Bundesliga, the French LFP and Eredivisie, among others. Their attendance, as per last year ensures a significant presence from Europe’s top leagues.
The EPFL workshop will take place the following morning on the 28th; open for all Soccerex delegates to attend, the workshop will address key issues facing football leagues today, notably player transfers and insurance.
Emanuel Macedo de Medeiros, CEO of the EPFL commented, ‘After the success of last year’s Annual General Meeting we are delighted to return to Soccerex; it provides the perfect environment for our members to reconnect whilst at the same time providing us with the opportunity to make new contacts, network with key industry figures and find out the latest developments within the industry.
The EPFL workshop is just one in a number of workshops taking place at this year’s European Forum; there will also be a dedicated club workshop, a stadia workshop and a workshop for emerging markets. The workshops will run alongside a comprehensive conference line-up which will address key industry issues such as player development, football’s new frontiers, betting, club ownership, sponsorship and agencies. In addition to educational content, the European Forum will provide delegates with the ultimate business platform which will comprise of a packed exhibition and a number of formal and informal networking opportunities.
