NUFC Supporters Trust to discuss ‘The Future of Football’

As the murky world of football finances continues to unravel, Newcastle United Supporters Trust (NUST) have organised an event to discuss the subject and also how financial fair play may help to reshape the football industry.
The event will see former Newcastle United chairman, Denis Cassidy and Sean Hamil of Birkbeck Sport Business Centre at the University of London discuss the future of football and its finances.
Denis Cassidy, a leading businessman who as well as having being Chairman of the likes of Liberty and British Home Stores, was also Chairman of Newcastle United’s PLC board in the late nineties.
Sean is a Director of the Birkbeck Sport Business Centre at Birbeck College, University of London and an expert in corporate governance of the football industry , while
In addition, following the most recent survey by NUST of thousands of Newcastle fans regarding football governance, the results will be presented on the night.
This event is totally free and as well as the chance to hear presentations by the two highly respected speakers, there will also be the opportunity to pose questions during a question and answer session.
No pre-booking is necessary and bar facilities are available.
