BBC leader examines the future of digital sport

Ralph Rivera, Director of Future Media at the BBC, and the man shaping the corporations digital media strategy, will be speaking to an invitation only audience of 250 digital experts from brands, rights holders and agencies, at the inaugural Leaders in Digital Sport being hosted at Chelsea FC on 6th October as part of the Leaders Sports Summit.
Rivera has extensive experience in global digital media, and was appointed Director of Digital Media in November 2010 before being promoted to Director of Future Media in March 2011 reporting directly to the BBC's Director-General, Mark Thompson. He will provide a fascinating insight into the BBC's interactive services, plans for coverage of the 2012 Olympics and will examine how social, interactive and non linear developments in media will be relevant for sports organisation and their fans.
Ralph joined the BBC from Major League Gaming in New York, where he was responsible for product development for the largest professional video game league in the world. Prior to that, he ran AOL's Games and Latino businesses, oversaw the expansion of AOL's international web presence and launched the social gaming platform games.com.
