New Conference for Leaders in Racing is off and running

After an extensive period of consultation with the global horse racing industry and many months of planning, the Leaders team behind successful conferences for Football, Sponsorship, Digital Sport and Sporting Performance, are delighted to announce the launch of Leaders in Racing, a new global conference for the international business of horseracing.
The racing industry is going through an unprecedented period of change with a debate around funding, new regulations, government support, taxation laws, a modernisation programme, the international nature of betting, the impact of gambling rules and new technologies all focussing the minds of the industry stakeholders. It still remains one of the most popular spectator sports in the world with a rich heritage and an exciting future.
James Worrall, CEO of The Leaders Group of conferences says “Whilst opinions differ greatly on what is best way forward for the future of racing, we received widespread encouragement across the board to organise a world class conference for the international business. This new, exclusive and invitation-only event will bring together 200 director level executives from the racing world and will take place on the second day (6th October 2011) of the Leaders annual sports summit at Chelsea FC, London.
