Liverpool Football Club will mark the 22nd anniversary of those that died at Hillsborough with a memorial service this afternoon.
22 years ago over 20,000 Liverpool fans went to watch Liverpool play in the 1989 FA Cup semi-final at Sheffield Wednesday’s home ground where tragically, 96 never returned home.
The disaster led to the introduction of all-seater stadiums in England following recommendations by Lord Justice Taylor’s report and will today see Liverpool Football Club and its supporters pay their respects at a Memorial Service at Anfield and remember each of those who lost their lives in Sheffield.
Coverage of the service will be streamed on the club's official TV channel - LFC TV – a free day of themed Hillsborough coverage will be available to watch,
The service will be broadcast live from Anfield from 2.45pm. and will also be available for all supporters to watch on LFC TV Online.
